Part 1 — Booking, Payment & Cancellation

1. Booking your place

Hike & Create has a limited number of guest spots. Your place is only secured once your application has been accepted and the required €500 deposit has been received.

Bookings are personal and may not be transferred to another person without our prior written approval.

The trip page, your booking confirmation, and the practical information we send before the trip form part of the information connected to your booking.

2. Deposit and payment

A €500 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place on Hike & Create.

The remaining balance of €1,350 must be paid by 7 June 2026. If the remaining balance is not paid by the stated deadline, we reserve the right to cancel your booking. In that case, the €500 deposit remains non-refundable.

3. Cancellation by you

If you need to cancel your booking, please notify us in writing by email as soon as possible.

The €500 deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances, as it secures your place and covers costs already committed on your behalf.

We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation and other unexpected changes.

4. Cancellation by us

If we need to cancel Hike & Create due to unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you as soon as possible and refund any payments made directly to us. Unless required by law, we are not responsible for costs incurred outside the trip booking itself, including flights, transport, insurance, equipment, or accommodation before or after the trip.

5. Changes to the route or programme

Weather, trail conditions, safety concerns, hut availability, or other circumstances may require us to adjust the route, schedule, or activities. We will always aim to make adjustments that protect the safety of the group and the overall quality of the experience.

6. Travel to and from the trip

Flights and transport to and from Wasserauen, Switzerland are not included. Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel. The trip starts and ends in Wasserauen, Appenzell, Switzerland.

7. What is included

The trip includes hut accommodation (3 nights), breakfast and dinner daily, the content workshop with Sam, Elias & Kajsa, hiking the route together, and the Ebenalp cable car on Day 1. Anything not clearly listed as included is not included.

8. Additional costs

Participants are responsible for their own additional costs including lunches, drinks, flights, transport to/from Wasserauen, travel insurance, personal equipment, and accommodation before or after the trip.

9. Pricing

The price shown at the time of booking is the price that applies. Any later promotional offers or price changes will not apply retroactively to confirmed bookings.

Part 2 — Trip Terms

10. General participation

Hike & Create is designed to be a warm, social, creative, and respectful group experience in the mountains. By joining, you agree to behave in a considerate and respectful way toward other participants, hosts, accommodation partners, local staff, and anyone we meet along the route.

11. Age requirement

Hike & Create is open to participants aged 18 and over.

12. Health, fitness and suitability

Hike & Create involves several days of hiking in alpine terrain, shared hut accommodation, changing mountain weather, and time spent outdoors. By booking, you confirm that you have read the trip information and considered whether the trip is suitable for you.

Participants should have a good basic level of fitness and feel comfortable hiking for several hours at a time with elevation gain and descent. The route is moderate and does not involve technical climbing, but it does take place in real mountain terrain.

You are responsible for informing us in advance of any injury, allergy, health condition, fear of heights, dietary requirement, or other circumstance that may be relevant to your participation or safety. If you are unsure whether the trip is suitable for you, we recommend seeking appropriate medical advice before booking.

13. Mountain terrain and inherent risk

Participation in mountain activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, falls, changing weather, fatigue, altitude, uneven terrain, and other conditions outside our control.

Sam, Elias & Kajsa are content creators and hosts, not licensed alpine guides. Participants are responsible for their own safety, choices, insurance, equipment, and physical readiness throughout the trip.

14. Following instructions

Participants are expected to follow practical instructions given by the hosts during the trip. If we believe that a participant's behaviour, health, equipment, fitness level, or decisions create a risk for themselves or the group, we reserve the right to adapt their participation or, if necessary, remove them from all or part of the trip without refund.

15. Clothing and equipment

Participants are responsible for bringing suitable clothing, footwear, and personal equipment for hiking in the Swiss Alps — including proper hiking shoes, layers for changing weather, rain protection, sun protection, a water bottle, and personal medication. A lightweight sleeping bag liner is recommended for the mountain huts.

16. Accommodation

Accommodation is in shared mountain hut rooms. Participants should expect shared rooms, varying bathroom facilities, limited privacy, and practical mountain hut conditions. Room allocation is arranged by us; we cannot guarantee specific room requests.

17. Food and dietary requirements

Breakfast and dinner are included. Lunches, drinks, and personal extras are not included. We will do our best to accommodate dietary requirements communicated to us in advance, but because we are staying in mountain huts with fixed menus and limited supply options, we cannot guarantee that every dietary need can be fully accommodated.

18. Content creation and group pace

Hike & Create is a hiking and content workshop. We will move at a relaxed pace, stop for photos and video, share creative input, and spend time helping participants capture content along the way. You do not need to be a professional content creator to join, but you should be comfortable being part of a group where photography, video, and creative work are part of the experience.

19. Photography and video

Photo and video will be captured throughout the experience. By joining the trip, you understand that content creation is a natural and planned part of Hike & Create. Content captured during the trip may be used by Hike & Create, Sam, Elias & Kajsa, and related channels for website, social media, marketing, and brand communication.

If you have concerns about being featured in close-up or personal content, please let us know before or during the trip. Participants are also expected to respect each other's privacy and ask for consent before posting personal content of other participants.

20. Insurance

All participants must hold valid travel insurance including mountain rescue cover for the duration of the trip. This is a requirement of participation. You are responsible for ensuring your policy covers hiking in mountain terrain, illness, injury, delays, cancellation, and personal belongings. We cannot take responsibility for anyone who is not adequately insured.

21. Personal belongings

Participants are responsible for their own belongings during the trip. We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items unless required by law.

22. Respect for the group experience

If a participant behaves in a way that seriously disrupts the group, disrespects others, ignores safety instructions, or creates risk for themselves or others, we reserve the right to remove that participant from all or part of the trip. No refund will be given in such circumstances unless required by law.

23. Personal responsibility

Participants are responsible for their own choices and behaviour throughout the trip. You must always act in a way that does not put yourself, others, or the group experience at risk.

24. Complaints during the trip

If something does not meet your expectations, please let us know as soon as possible while the trip is still taking place so we have the opportunity to address it.

25. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Mandatory local laws or consumer rights may still apply where required.
